This lovely pony is 14.0h with great presence and intelligence. Her maternal grandmother was a Welsh section A who won many leading rein classes, including at the Royal Cornwall Show. Her dam, DOLLY PARTON, is by our own Lusitano , VENTUROSO, and was a very successful endurance pony. Her sire, ZACHILLES, won many Arab races, and retired sound to begin a new career in endurance, at which he is excelling. So his daughter, ZEPHYRA, has all the credentials to be a top class endurance ride. She is built well enough to carry a small adult as well as any child, and has the attitude to do really well in this sphere. Her mother has a formidable jump, so her daughter could also be a working hunter pony prospect. She has fantastic feet, to quote the blacksmith: “This won’t need shoes! Her feet are like iron, really good” . Interestingly, when newborn she had zebra stripes on her fore legs, a trait sometimes seen in Lusitanos and their close relatives, Soraiyas.
